FAQs

How do I know you won't let me down?
The Think Tank Creative Signage team has over 40 years worldwide experience in sign making. We have up-to-date technical knowledge on new products and fixings available in New Zealand and worldwide. Good relationships with suppliers ensures we get the right product for the job and can provide spec sheets on request. We have adapted many products to custom-made signage to suit a diverse range of projects. It's a challenge we thrive on! We hold Site Safe passports and of course hold indemnity and liability insurance, which can be increased if necessary for specific large projects.

Do you provide consultations and advice? I have a concept but I don't know whether it can be done.
Yes, we usually arrange an initial meeting where we can discuss material and fixing options.

How limited is the range of materials you have access to?
It's virtually only limited by your imagination! We love the creative side of signwriting so we don't just do "stock standard" but actually offer some materials that other signwriters don't use. We have access to a broad range of products in New Zealand - and worldwide if needed. We've selected these products carefully because attention to detail and finish is high on our list of priorities.

We also carry a huge range of product samples and we have no shortage of ideas on how they can be custom-made to fit any project. Often we'll bring a range of products and samples to a client briefing meeting and then work through how to execute the best solution in a cost-effective way for the client. We've created some quite unusual concepts - the kind that make people ask "how the heck did they do that?" It's one of the ways we enjoy making our clients stand out.

Can you supply environmentally-friendly signs?
We certainly can! There are biodegradable banners and billboards available and these break down in landfills. We can often recycle or renovate an old sign and reuse it for a new project. A great product - Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) - has replaced the ply panels of the past. ACM is made from recycled tyres with a thin layer of aluminium on the face. It's the perfect surface for signs. It can also be folded and laser cut to make illuminated and plinth signs. ACM is even being used to clad new buildings worldwide.

Can you provide samples so I can see what's available, and see what the end result will look like?
Yes, we have a huge range of product, print and material samples and we'll bring an appropriate selection for you to choose from.
